Nickelodeon changes the feeds across Europe in January 2026

BARREIRO Paramount Skydance is preparing for the switch from Nickelodeon's European feeds to new unlimited, Asian, and limited feeds to broadcast the same programming. The announcement was made that the schedule will be updated starting January 1, 2026.

Starting from the new year, the countries that currently receive Nickelodeon CEE, Nickelodeon Commercial Light and Nickelodeon Global orginal feeds will start to receive the newly-formed Nickelodeon Global Unlimited feed, the Central and Eastern European countries will merge the Global Unlimited programming signals, which will then be without commercials. According to Paramount Skydance, in addition to Nickelodeon in Europe, MTV Global will no longer have music programming starting January 1, 2026; the new programming schedule will focus on entertainment and reality shows.

The feed change will bring viewers in these regions a slightly different schedule from what Nickelodeon CEE currently airs (although the former schedule will be kept by a separate Nickelodeon Poland channel), along with a slew of previously "banned" episodes that couldn't be aired in certain regions due to their content (most often LGBTQIA+-themed), which will be making their premieres in many countries.

The feed currently known as Nickelodeon Global will be mainly used for the new called "Nickelodeon Global Asia". Nickelodeon channels in countries that can't air the "banned" episodes, such as Kenya, will be transferred to a second new feed called Nickelodeon Global Limited, which will continue to keep these episodes out of rotation.

Another big change will be the closure of Nickelodeon CEE and Nickelodeon Global in Ukraine, along with the Nick Jr. Global and NickToons Global channels currently available in the country. These channels will shutter in the region at start of the year of 2026. NickMusic EMEA will be shutting down in Central European countries from the end of 2025, with music videos being discontinued on December 31.

Whilst the highlights featured in this post are for Nickelodeon Global Unlimited, due to the feed changes, some premieres may be specific to regions which previously received the Nickelodeon CEE and Nickelodeon Commercial Light feeds.

Ultimately, The News Europe spoke with Paramount, confirming that the Nickelodeon feed in Portugal will not be merged with the Global Unlimited programming. The Portuguese feed is still shared with the Spanish feed, but it is unknown whether it will switch to the European feed, as happened with Disney Channel and Cartoon Network, two children's channels. I doubt that on December 19th, Meo renewed its contract with Nickelodeon Portugal and Nick Jr. Portugal to remain on its channel lineup, after failing to secure a move to December 31st at the end of the year.

UPDATE: Nickelodeon's European feeds have just switched feeds.

Now, the Nickelodeon CEE and Nickelodeon Commercial Light programming (which was today) has just been connected by Nickelodeon Global Unlimited, at 6:00 CET, which started with SpongeBob SquarePants.
