Starting today, those who still watch Globo's programming on the analog signal will notice a small change in the screen format. Now all programming will be broadcast in the 4:3 letterbox format, with the addition of two black bands, one at the top and one at the bottom of the screen, leaving some Pan-Scan behind. This way, all content produced in HD will be shown on Brazilian open channels such as SBT , Band , TV Record , Rede TV! and others. In the future, the black bands will display notices about the shutdown of the analog channel for the entire region of Brazil by the year 2025.
