SETÚBAL - The Portuguese Public Prosecutor's Office ( MPP ) is investigating a deal made in 2016 between FC Porto and PT Portugal , for the sale of television rights, which included distribution, the Porto Canal . At issue is the payment of a commission of 20 million euros to the company that brokered the deal. Authorities are investigating whether part of this money ended up in Pinto da Costa 's family circle. At the time, the Dragons sold the television rights until 2027 to the then now-defunct PT Portugal , now called Altice Portugal , at the time chaired by the operator led by Paulo Neves, for 500 million euros. The deal was brokered by BM Consultoria, owned by sports businessman Bruno Macedo, one of those accused in Operation Red Card.
