Cartoon Network merges European signals starting tomorrow in Poland, RSEE and CEE. Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, Nordics and France on September 25th

BARREIRO - Oficial News: This month, Cartoon Network's European channels have merged, an unprecedented event in the history of the channel, but not for the television industry in recent years. The proposal for the transformation of the new DOG will be revalidated tomorrow by merging Central Europe with the two major feeds.

What began on September 2 as a unification of Cartoon Network schedules for CEE, South-East Europe and Poland channels, has been extended to other regions on September 16, including Germany, the Nordic countries, Portugal and France. Although the unification is "artificial" for now, as Cartoon Network's playouts have not been merged, the channels have begun to share the same programming in 28 countries, including some in Central Asia. The effective merger of the playouts is expected to take place in no more than two weeks.

The merger will bring a new unified feed for Western Europe, with the same programming and graphics shared across regions such as Germany, France, Portugal, the Nordics and the Netherlands. Starting on the 25th, after a few months of Central and Eastern Europe, the Portuguese, French, Nordic, Dutch and German feeds will merge to launch the new Cartoon Network WE concept feed, the bet is similar officially.

With this merger, the number of Cartoon Network channels in Europe has been reduced to just five: CEE, WE, Italy, UK and Turkey. The latter feed now includes all of the aforementioned countries, consolidating programming into a single channel and marking the end of the independence of the channels in Portugal, Germany, Poland, RSEE and other regions.

In parallel to these changes, several Cartoon Network websites have also been closed globally in recent weeks, including in Latin America, Brazil, the USA, Romania, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Japan and Southwest Asia. These closures are part of the network's strategy to consolidate and simplify its digital presence, limiting it to Max and social media. Cartoon Network in Central, Eastern and Western Europe will have the following passage in a single Dimensional standard, such as the banner already following, new DOG, new idents, new advertisements and moments that, in Poland, Netherlands, RSEE, CEE, Nordics, Germany and France will lose access to transparency. The channel will be moved to the live-screen channel, this is the second time the channel has become bigger, similar to Nickelodeon Global in 2023 which debuted a new rebranding.

As for Cartoonito, the channel for preschoolers has undergone a similar process. Cartoonito Portugal has merged with Cartoonito Nordic, forming the new feed called Cartoonito WE. The only notable difference between these channels is advertising: while Portugal continues to receive commercials, in the Nordic countries the space between programmes has been occupied by fillers since 2022, when Cartoon Network and Cartoonito channels stopped broadcasting advertising in the region. Just remembering that Paramount Global's channels in Latin America and Brazil, such as Nickelodeon, MTV and Comedy Central, began operating under the European signal in a similar move to save management costs and unify teams.

Then it received a new DOG, new advertisements, already following, promos, new episodes on tag and banner already following became the similarity of the UK sign.
