SETÚBAL: BRAZIL - The Brazilian operator Telefónica in Brazil announced today the decision to reduce net profits by 1.2 million euros (US dollars in Brazil) between July and September with an increase of 31%, like Oi and Claro. Revenues from comprehensive services by the company exceeded 2.3% in Telefônica Brasil's market results by 10.79 million euros (US dollars in Brazil). In the telephone service (Vivo Fixo) it has already exceeded 6.6 million, with customers receiving more than 300 minutes of data to call people on the same broadband services.
In Vivo TV, Telefônica Brasil's television service has exceeded 39.1% of the market share for TV channels, video calls and applications to watch on all screens, Anatel stated. In the mobile operator, subscribers have already fallen 25.9% to browse the remaining mobile data on the internet in third place and applications provided in the services have exceeded 1.2%. The owner of Vivo has already made the drop in revenues from VRA operators with greater discipline in expenses, with operating costs exceeding 346 million euros (US dollars in Brazil).
Still, the quarter's operating result measured by EBITDA, of 4.32 million euros (US dollars in Brazil), was 4.8% lower than a year earlier, even though it was practically in line with the forecast of analysts at Refinitiv, of 4.35 million euros (US dollars in Brazil). The EBITDA margin for the quarter fell 1.1 percentage points, to 40%.
